Production Team Bios

Sean Kent (Writer/Producer) is a writer/ actor whose performing credits include appearances in the film School Ties, the critically acclaimed television series, Homicide: Life on the Street and numerous television commercials and industrials. Sean was an original core company member of Sonnet Repertory Theater, a NY based not-for-profit theater company dedicated to the production of new and classic works. With Sonnet, Sean appeared in the roles of Verges in Much Ado About Nothing, Robert Chiltern in An Ideal Husband and Compton/ Thomas in the world premiere staged reading of Keith Reddin's Prophets of Nature. The Salacious Uncle Baldrick is his first full-length play. Sean currently lives in Weehawken, NJ with his wife, Katrina Kent. He is a 1996 Graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Kenan Minkoff (Writer/Producer) received a BFA in Acting from the North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied under former New York Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Gerald Freedman. After graduating from NCSA, Kenan moved to New York to utilize his training. He found work mainly in television commercials, most of which were for beer products, primarily from the Budweiser family. In 1999, Kenan stopped acting and moved over to the business side of entertainment. He worked at the Abrams Artists Agency, 3 Arts Entertainment and finally in the Creative Development Department of Clear Channel Entertainment's Theatrical Division. While at Clear Channel Kenan continued to write and direct, showing his work primarily at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Kenan is currently working with director Matt Cowart on Makeout Session, an intimate drama, which will open fall of 2005.

Matt Cowart (Director) is currently Artistic Director of the OffBeat Theatre Company, and the Associate Artistic Director of the 78th Street Theatre Lab where he recently directed the one-woman show, In My Thatha's Trunk. Other recent credits include the world premiere of We Three at the Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center Institute and the OffBeat Theatre Company's production of [sic] by Melissa James Gibson. He is a Resident Director of Artists in Action, who produced Snakebit in 2004. Other directing credits include Twelfth Night, Everybody's Dream, League of Ordinary Gentlemen, Welcome to the Moon, Shadow Box and Forgotten Vaudeville. Matt is also an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. He has assisted internationally renowned directors including Gerald Freedman, John Dillon, Art Manke, PJ Paparelli, Benny Sato Ambush, Matt Bulluck, and director Eric Nightengale for the 78th Street Theatre Lab production of Kenneth, What is the Frequency? He has also served as assistant to Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of PREMIERES, a production company devoted to the development of new musicals. Upcoming projects include Makeout Session: a new play by Kenan Minkoff, an evening of one-acts produced by the OffBeat Theatre Company, and SHAKESBARE, a physical exploration of Shakespeare's work with Sonnet Repertory Theatre. GREGG BELLON (Set Design/ Construction) is a performer, director, writer, and designer. Current projects: as performer & Tech. Director, the premiere at the New York Musical Theater Festival of Environmental Theatre de Camera's La Playa by Roi Escudero Bubi, developing the role of El Filosofo; as Production Designer/Stage Manager, Amber Martin's Hi!, a stripped down journey through the psyche of a music lover and the many strange and fascinating personas she encounters. Recent projects include: as performer, Living in Exile (Hudson Exploited TC, dir. Arian Blanco); as set & lighting designer, The Jungle Book (The New Acting Co., dir. David Miller), as sound designer, The Rivals and Rounding Third (Centenary Stage Co., dir. Carl Wallnau); as director, Aloha, OY! (Abingdon Theater Complex) and The Knowledge & Conversation of My Holy Guardian Angel (HExTC/FringeNY '04); as writer, Lead Heavy Sky (the production collective/FringeNY'03). Board Member of Hudson Exploited Theater Company. Founder and Artistic Director of Production Consolidated (formerly the production collective), a company founded on a holistic approach through collaboration in the creation of original work. LEX LIANG (Costume/ Prop Designer) has worked as a scenic and costume designer, consultant and stylist in theatre, fashion and special events. Recent work in New York includes the premiere of The Bigger Man, as well as the world premiere of Chad Beckim's a matter of choice. Lex has also worked as a principle designer for the Central Park Conservancy, designed the world premiere of The History of Tears (A musical/play based on the novel, The Sorrows of Young Werther) and recently completed the design and interior renovation of Sweet Priscilla's Cafe. Upcoming work includes set and costume design for Picasso at the Lapin Agile. He continues to work extensively as a consultant or designer on select Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, is the consultant to Disney's Entertainment Costuming, and he is the Resident Scenic and Costume Designer for Partial Comfort Productions. www.lexliang.com.
